Congratulations and well done to Mark O' Brien, MJ Sutton, Iona Heffernan, Niamh Ahearne who were on victorious Waterford Hurling teams in Croke Park & Fraher field yesterday and have qualified for the All Ireland finals.. Mark played a crucial role for the Waterford team, giving it his all on the field and scoring a great point for the team at a vital stage. MJ was on the bench, and no doubt his day will come, as he will be underage for next season. To Iona Heffernan (Captain) & Niamh Ahearne and the Waterford Under 16 Camoige team who recorded a superb win over a much fancied Wexford team in Fraher field. These two talented hurlers played their part in the win, and have qualified for the final against Cork. Also, lets not forget a mention to Shane 'Shiner' Ahearne who is the Manager of the Camoige team. Well done to all concerned, a great day for the club.
MINOR HURLING: Our Minor Hurling team play Ardmore on Tuesday 13th August at 7:30pm in Ferrybank. Having drawn their open two games the team will be keen to record a win. Please come along and support the team.
EXAMS: Best of luck to the Boys & Girls who are involved with the Club who will getting their Leaving Cert results this coming Wednesday. Lets hope all the hard work put in over the coming year will be fully rewarded, and best of luck in their chosen career ahead.
INTERMEDIATE HURLING: Our Intermediate Hurlers will play Portlaw in the quarter finals of the John J Murphy Sponsored competition on Sunday August 25th at 2:30pm in Walsh Park.
JUNIOR HURLING: Our Junior Hurlers will play Dunhill in the quarter finals of the Gerry Kennedy Sponsored competition on Monday August 26th at 7pm in Walsh Park.
JUNIOR FOOTBALL: Our Junior Footballers will play Ballyduff Lower in the quarter finals of the John J Murphy Sponsored competition on Friday August 30th at 7pm in Fenor. Please note extra time will be played in the above 3 matches if the games finish level at the end of normal time.
