The Ferrybank Under 8 hurling team played in a Blitz at
Mount Sion on Monday 1st July.
Under 8 Panel: Izaak Richards, Shane Purcell, Caolan MacCathmhaoil, Adam Aspel, Joe carter, Michael Mclaurence, Shane Egan, Paddy Mackey, Jay Bagge.
The Ferrybank Under 8 team have been enjoying a fantastic spell of late and they continued this form today fierce opponents, Ballygunner and Mount Sion. Ferrybank conceded some early scores but as the games progressed the lads settled into it and took control. With the combination of the regular team plus the bonus of our new players, Ferrybank proved themselves to be a team to be reckoned with.
Well done to all the players. There was noticeable improvement in the hurling skills and teamwork in all the kids and there will be another match in a couple of weeks so keep up the practice (hurling homework) and attend the training session on Saturday mornings at 10am.
