The Ferrybank Under 6, 8 & 9 hurling & football teams played St. James' (Ramsgrange, Wexford) on Saturday 13th July.
Ferrybank travelled to Ramsgrange today and despite the searing heat they took the Model county teams by storm.
The Under 6 team rattled countless scores against St. James' in the
hurling. The U8 games were played in a similar vane and we also
exercised most control in the football games.
The teamwork in the
Ferrybank Under 8 team was excellent, particularly the handpassing and
was on show for all to see. The Under 9 hurling was tougher and the
home-side put up a great fight but Ferrybank battled to dominate in the
end. The Football proved too much for our Under 9 and Ramsgrange were
deservingly rewarded for their efforts with a fine win.
Thanks to all for the massive crucial support and to St. James' for the
manner in which they played the games. Special thanks to Ramsgrange for
putting on a fine spread. Thanks again kids for a great day's entertainment and providing another proud day for Ferrybank.
