The Ferrybank Minor Camoige team played their first game in the Championship last Tuesday night against Roanmore in Gracedieu, and following an exciting game, the Girls came away with a hard earned win. In a very exciting and close game, it was Roanmore who struck first with a goal, but the Girls thundered back into the game and led at half time by 2-5 to 2-2. In the second half, the Ferrybank defence came under severe pressure, with Roanmore deservedly drawn level, but with the game entering its closing stages, Aislinn O' Keeffe was fouled and then recovered to put the free over the bar to win the game for Ferrybank. Both teams deserve great credit for their effort in very warm conditions. TEAM: Sinead Russell, Aislinn Oates.
