UNDER 8 HURLING: Our under 8 hurling team played St Saviours last night. TEAM: Jake Butler, Sean Heffernan, Daniel Griffin, Michael MacKessey, Ross Burke-Derham, Alex Burke-Derham, Shane Oates, Ryan Duggan,Odhran Power, Samuel Lesack, Ruaidhri McGarrity, Jamie Sutton, Kyle O' Brien, Alex Byrne, Eddie Daly, Izaak Richards. The ladshada very tough experience last night,but this wetted their appetite for battle. The panel was divided into two teams, and they played a total of five games against St Saviours and Passage. TEAM 1. With a powerful puckout from Alex Byrne in goal, our forwards Ruaidhri and Jamie got ample opportunities to score. Izaak and Michael Mac dominated midfield, while great performances from Kyle and Eddie prevented many a score. TEAM 2. The solid defence of Odhran and Samuel, coupled with the accruacy of Jakes puckouts kept the village ahead. Shane Oates, Ryan Duggan, Daniel Griffin battled hard in midfield, and supplied many a sliothar up front to Alex, Ross, Sean, who were relentless in their pursuit of goal, and their efforts paid of. Ferrybank should be proud of the way the under 8 played their games last night. The teamwork, tenacity, and training were on display for all to see. Well done lads, keep up the hurling homework.
