UNDER 8 FOOTBALL: The Ferrybank under 8 Gaelic Football team played in the Carriganore blitz on Saturday last. TEAM: Jake Butler, Sean Heffernan, Daniel Griffin, Ruaidhri McGarrity, Sean Fagan, Jamie Sutton, Kyle O' Brien, Odhran Power, Alex Byrne, Arun Binivngo, Izaak Richards, Samuel Leasack, Mathew O' Sullivan, Shane Purcell, Shane Oates. Ferrybank played three football matches against The Nire, Sacred Heart, Ballyduff. We conceeded some early goals, but as the game wore on, Ferrybank settled into the games and defended well. The lads put in a great effort, and improved as each game wore on, but more importantly enjoyed the day. Well done lads, and dont forget the majority of them are under age for next year at the under 8 age group. So keep up the practice. Special thanks to all the parents who got the kids ready, and to the venue on time.
