JUNIOR HURLING:
Our Junior Hurlers made it two from two in this year’s Eastern Championship with a good win over Mount Sion last Sunday morning on a scoreline of 2-18 to 1-10.
A strong second half performance from the team was key to this result, as Mount Sion held a 1-05 to 0-6 lead at the break. However, the team got stronger as the game wore on, and crucial goals from Maciek Tomczuk and Shane Oates gave the lads a well-deserved win.
Next up for the juniors is a trip to play Passage on Sunday, July 13th at 12:00 noon.
MINOR HURLING:
The combined Ferrybank/St. Saviours side were well defeated by St. Patricks in their opening game in this year’s minor Championship last Wednesday in Colligan. The team were short a few key players, and this proved crucial as a much stronger St Pat's side took advantage and ran out comfortable winners.
Hopefully, the combined side can get back to winning ways this coming Wednesday, July 9th where they play St. Olivers in Ferrybank at 7:30pm
UNDER 16 HURLING:
No joy for the combined Ferrybank/Erin’s Own combined 16 side as they were defeated by a strong Brickey Rangers side last Monday.

COUNTY DUTY/CAMOGIE:
Well done to Iona Heffernan, Niamh Ahearne, and the Waterford Senior Camogie team that defeated Clare in Croke Park last Saturday afternoon, and therefore have qualified to play Cork in the semi-finals in two weeks’ time.
On the local scene, well done to the Ferrybank Under 12 Green team that qualified for the final with a hard-fought win over Mount Sion last Tuesday. It was tough going for the girls at times, but this team dug deep and battled away which ensured a place in the final against either Lismore or Modeligo.
Meanwhile, last Sunday saw Ferrybank Camogie club hosting a blitz for Under 8, 10, 12, and 14 with Galltir, Tramore, Butlerstown, Slieverue, Kilmacow, Roanmore, De La Salle, and St. Anne's, taking part. Thankfully the weather held up, and some fantastic camogie was played in the field, and everyone had a great day. The Camogie club also held a fundraiser, which saw a number of prizes being given out on the day, and thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket for it. Also, special thanks to the sponsors who kindly donated prizes to the draw, parents who supplied the cakes and sandwiches on the day, making it a great day for Ferrybank Camogie club, and to all the people who got involved behind the scenes, thank you.
