RETURN TO PLAY:
April 26th is the date where Under 18 teams will be permitted back into the GAA grounds to resume non-contact training in pods. So, no doubt, it’s a date to look forward to for all the young people and mentors to get back into training. Hopefully after that, it won’t be too long before the adults will be able to commence their training.
CAMOGIE CLUB:
Our Camogie club are raffling Apple Air Pods for just €5. All proceeds raised will go towards the development of the Camogie Club. To enter this raffle, just go to the Go-Fund Me on the club’s Facebook page, and leave your name when donating. If for example, you donate €10, you will be entered twice in the draw etc. So, why not give it a go, a great prize to win, all for a worthy cause.
DÉISE DRAW:
The 2021 Déise Draw is scheduled to return in July. Similar to last year, there will be 6 draws running all the way to December. More details will follow as soon as they come to hand.
LAST MAN STANDING:
The popular Last Man Standing competition is now down to just three people, and it’s now turned into an all Marymount affair. Father and Son, Davey and Tommy Lane, and Nicky Lawless are left to do battle, after Chelsea & Arsenal proved victorious, while Jason Hennessey exited last weekend, when Man City left him down. So best of luck to the three people left in it, in what has been an enjoyable competition.
ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10k:
Obviously, with the COVID-19 pandemic creating so much havoc and uncertainty in the country, the 2021 Angela Burns Memorial 10k will go virtual this year.
The schedule dates will be Friday June 4th to Monday June 7th. Hopefully, by then, more people will be able to meet up to run, jog, walk, cycle, etc. with their family and friends. Further details, will follow in due course.
