ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

MINOR FOOTBALL:
Our Minor Footballers made the trip to Cappoquin on Sunday morning to play Affane/St Olivers/Cappoquin in the opening game of the Minor Football Championship and came away with an excellent win on a scoreline of 4-05 to 2-02.
Having a slight wind advantage in the opening half, there wasn’t much between the sides. Ruaidhri McGarrity scored a well-taken goal to give the side the lead, and with Shane Oates scoring some fine points, Ferrybank lead 1-04 to 1-02 at the break.
With this lead, entering the second-half, the players began to play with confidence, with the defence holding firm, and this was reflected up in the forward line, scoring crucial goals in the process, from Marco, Odhran, and a second from Ruaidhri which sealed the win.
This was a great performance from the team, and fully deserved the win.
PANEL: Pawel Tomczuk, Shane Bagge, Lee Clarke, Matt Sullivan, Odhran Power (1-0), Joy Hondeau, Richard-Errijola-Lapitte, Issac Richards, Ruaidhri McGarrity, Shane Purcell, Marco Oliveria (1-0), Shane Oates (0-03), Daniel Griffin, Sean Heffernan, Kyle O' Brien, Matti Tomczuk.

FIELD FIXERS:
The Field Fixers have helped finance all capital development in Ferrybank GAA club since 2002. It is a donation scheme, paid via direct debit, whereby people kindly contribute €25 per month (this also covers membership for the year).
So far, this scheme has financed our main and juvenile field drainage, the installation of our running track and ball-stoppers, the construction of the hurling alley, and most recently, the utility works, concreting and tarmac work in the club’s car-park.
The club is about to embark on an exciting development that will aid the Ferrybank community as a whole. In order to achieve this, we need more Field Fixers to help us.
If you are interested in becoming a Field Fixer, please contact Nicky Heffernan (087 672 4212) and/or email ferrybankgaa@gmail.com
Many thanks to all our Field Fixers, past and present. Your kind contributions continue to help us to pave the way for the future of Ferrybank.

ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K:
The Angela Burns Memorial 10k Fun Run/Walk will take place on Sunday April 26th at 11am starting from the Ferrybank GAA grounds.
