ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes



MINOR FOOTBALL:
With the bad weather taking place during the week, the Minor footballers opening game in this year’s Championship game against Mount Sion was postponed. Our next game is scheduled to take place on Sunday March 18th at 11:30am home to St. Molleran’s.

CAMOGIE A.G.M.
This coming Friday March 9th will see the Ferrybank Camogie AGM take place. Everyone is most welcome to come along, especially those who would like to get involved in Camogie. At this moment, no venue or time has been confirmed, so please keep an eye on social media.

UNDER 16 FOOTBALL:
Our Under 16 Footballers are in action this coming Sunday March 11th with a home game against Mount Sion at 11am.

ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K:
The Angela Burns Memorial 10K Fun Run / Walk will take place on Sunday 22nd April at 11am from the Ferrybank GAA grounds. Entries are now been taken on http://www.totaltiming.ie/event/angela-burns-memorial-10k-2018/ . Its €15 for runners (chipped) and €10 for the walkers.

CAMOGIE FOUNDATION COURSE:
There will be a Camogie foundation course taking place on Saturday April 7th, with the venue and time yet to be confirmed.

DÉISE DRAW:
The Déise Draw will commence in May, and it will be the same format of last year, with six monthly draws taking place at €15 per month. There will be 20 cash prizes up for grabs, with 1st prize a nice sum of €12,500, all the way down to €100. This is the clubs main source of income, and once again, we hope you can continue purchasing a Déise Draw ticket.

CÚL CAMP:
The annual Kellogg’s Cúl Camp will take place in the Ferrybank GAA grounds from Monday 13th-17th August.

COMMUNITY SPIRIT:
A huge thanks to the Ferrybank GAA Club members and the Soccer club who joined forces on Sunday morning to clear the pathways from the Boys School all the way down to Gentiles Chip shop.

MEMBERSHIP:
With the playing season shortly upon us, it’s that time of the year again with the membership now due for both Adults and Juveniles. We would ask all players to pay their membership as soon as possible. Adults €70. Student/Unwaged/Associated member €30. For the Juvenile section, its €30 for the first child and €10 for each additional child.

UNDER 12 CAMOGIE:
Please note, training returns for all grades in this age group. We will be joining up with Butlerstown Camogie club. Last year, this team had a great season, and were victorious in the County Under 12B grade. The venue for training will be in Butlerstown GAA grounds on Saturday mornings from 11:45am to 1pm. New comers are most welcome to attend, and if you have any further queries, please contact Darren on 087- 9505609.

CAMOGIE EASTER CAMP:
A Camogie Easter Camp will take place for primary school girls, aged between 6-13, in Abbeyside on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday April 4th, and also in St. Saviour’s on Thursday 5th & Friday 6th April.

Clothes Collection is still running folks (and will be all year round). So if you have any of the following lying around the house...

- Laptops *
* Mobile phones and laptops to be kept in a separate bag please.
