ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

MINOR HURLING:
The Ferrybank/Erin’s Own combined minor team are back in action this coming Wednesday night August 30th in Poleberry against St. Mollerans at 7pm. After losing their last game, the team will be keen to get back to winning ways, and your support will be welcomed on the night.

UNDER 16 HURLING:
Our Under 16 hurlers make the trip to play league leaders Tramore this coming Friday night September 1st at 7pm. A stiff test awaits the team, so come along and support the lads.

UNDER 11 FOOTBALL:
Our Under 11 Footballers are away to Butlerstown this coming Friday night September 1st at 6:30pm.

RTÉ UP FOR THE MATCH:
The RTÉ cameras made their way to Ferrybank GAA club grounds last Thursday afternoon to record a short bio on the club for the ‘Up For The Match’ programme, which will be aired next Saturday night. A huge crowd came along and enjoyed the occasion, particularly the kids; they demonstrated their skills to the cameras and showed them how effective the "Sweeper" system has been for the Waterford hurlers this year, with Mya and Izaak leading the way.
A special word of thanks to all who decorated the club grounds and the village itself for the occasion, and having it in pristine condition, and also to Siobhan and Shiner for assisting the RTÉ team with their help during the build-up.

COUNTY DUTY:
The very best of luck to the Waterford Senior Hurling team next Sunday against Galway in the All-Ireland final. Our own Mark O' Brien has been involved with the panel for the last couple of years, and let’s hope Mark and the team can bring home Liam McCarthy  next Sunday. Best of luck lads – Déise abú!!!
