MINOR HURLING:
Ferrybank's Minor hurlers have teamed up with Erin's Own for
this year's championship. The combined side will play in Division 2 Group A,
along with Roanmore, Passage, St. Molleran's and Tramore. The first game is
scheduled to take place on Wednesday July 19th at 7:30pm against Tramore.
UNDER 8 HURLING:
Our Under 8 hurlers made the trip to play Ballygunner last
Monday night. The lads were up against a strong Ballygunner side but the team
gave it their all on the field, and despite losing three out of the four games,
the boys fought with credit, and well done to all.

July 10th away to St. Mary's at 7pm.
UNDER 16 HURLING:
Ferrybank's Under 16 hurlers made the trip to play Clonea in
their second game, and the lads dug deep to claim a share of the spoils on a
score-line of 1-7 to 0-10. This was a hard fought game, and despite missing a
couple of players, this was a good point to pick up. Next up is a home game on
Friday 21st July against An Gaeltacht.
JUNIOR FOOTBALL:
Our Junior Footballers made the trip to Poleberry last
Friday night to play Erin's Own in their latest John J Murphy sponsored
competition. Following a feast of scores, Erin's Own came out winners on a
score-line of 6-05 to 3-11. Some soft goals cost the team dearly. In the
second-half Ferrybank battled and just as they got back into the game, they
gifted the homeside easy goals which they took. Next up is a home match v Mount
Sion on Friday 28th July.
COUNTY DUTY:
Well done to Mark O' Brien and the Waterford Senior hurlers
on their fantastic win over Kilkenny last Saturday evening; while it was hard
luck to Valerie O' Brien, Niamh Ahearne and Iona Heffernan who were part of the
Waterford Senior Camogie side that were defeated by Dublin last Saturday
afternoon.
JUNIOR HURLERS:
Our Junior hurlers will play their third game in the John J
Murphy sponsored competition this coming Saturday July 15th at 1pm in Ferrybank
