Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes

INTERMEDIATE HURLING:
Our Intermediate hurlers are back in action this coming Saturday May 13th with a match against Clonea in the Gerry Kennedy Crash Repairs sponsored competition at 1:30pm in Walsh Park. This promises to be another tough assignment for the team, and hopefully they can bounce back to winning ways. Your support will be welcomed on the day.

UNDER 14 CAMOGIE:
Best of luck to the Under 14 Ferrybank/Butlerstown Camogie team who are due to play Gaultír away this coming Tuesday night May 9th at 7pm in the Under 14 B 1 League. This is the team’s fourth game of the campaign. Let’s hope they can come away with the points. Your support will be welcomed on the night.

UNDER 12 HURLING:
Our Under 12 hurlers made the trip last Friday night to play Sacred Heart, and following a hard game of hurling, the lads emerged clear winners on a score-line of 2-03 to 0-02. Sacred Heart threw their weight around, making life difficult for the team, but when it came to hurling, they had no answer for the lads, who took their chances when it mattered.

UNDER 11 HURLING:
Our Under 11 hurlers are back in action this coming Friday night May 12th with a home match against Mount Sion at 6:30pm.

JUNIOR HURLING:
Our opening game in this year’s Junior Hurling Championship will take place on Friday May 19th against Fenor at 7:30pm.

KELLOGG’S CÚL CAMP:
The 2017 Kellogg’s Cul Camps will take place in the Ferrybank GAA grounds from Monday August 14th to Friday August 18th at 10am until 2:30pm. Attendance is open to primary school children aged between 6-13 years old.
Activities on the day include Hurling, Camogie, Gaelic Football, Rounders, and lots more fun and games.

CAMOGIE GAA DINNER DANCE:
Ferrybank Camogie & GAA club are holding a Dinner Dance on Saturday May 20th at the Waterford Golf Club. This invitation is open to everyone associated with the club, from players, supporters, members, families etc, and we would encourage everyone associated with the club to support this great night out.
Starting at 7:30pm there will be a prosecco reception, followed at 8pm by a 3-course meal, with some music afterwards to dance the night away.
On the night itself, the County final medals will be presented to both our Intermediate Camogie side and our Under 16 team both of whom were crowned County champions last year. Tickets cost a very reasonable €20, and can be obtained from Siobhan Heffernan on 086-2611894.

DÉISE DRAW:
Best of luck to all who have purchased Déise Draw tickets for the coming year, with the opening draw taking place this coming Wednesday night. With 21 cash prizes on offer, let’s hope we can have a winner or two on the night.
It’s still not too late and get involved in the Déise Draw, with 5 more draws taking place after Wednesday night, 1 per month. Tickets cost €15, with 1st prize €12,500, 2nd prize €3,500 3rd & 4th prize €1,000. This is the club's main source of income, with 70% going back into the running of the club, so why not purchase a Déise draw ticket, and support your local GAA club.
