ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes

CAMOGIE LEAGUE FINAL:
Our Camogie team was defeated by An Rinn in the final of the Intermediate League at Walsh Park last Saturday afternoon, going down on a score-line of 3-05 to 1-08. Conceding three first half-goals, despite having played well, was our downfall. Excellent first half-scores from Niamh Ahearne, Aine Prendergast and Valerie O' Brien, kept Ferrybank in the hunt as they trailed by 3-04 to 0-05.
Ferrybank got a huge lift at the start of the second-half, when a Valerie O' Brien delivery went directly into the net, but tried as they could, Ferrybank were unable to bridge the three points in it at the full time whistle. The focus now turns to the championship, and hopefully we can improve from winning the Junior last year.
