Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes

CONDOLENCES:
It is with deep sorrow we record the passing of Paddy Heffernan. A native of Glenmore, Paddy hurled with the local GAA team until he moved to Rockenham and worked in Clover Meats until its closure. Paddy was one of numerous people who developed and fundraised for the current Ferrybank GAA grounds back in 1960 and ensured all his family got involved with Ferrybank GAA club.
A kind warm man, Paddy never had a bad word to say about anyone, and he will be sadly missed. To his wife Ellie, sons Nicky, John, Andy and Dick, daughters Bernie, Eileen, Angela, Marie and Bridget, ar dheis go raibh a h-anam.

UNDER 16 FOOTBALL:
Our Under 16 travelled to play the Nire last Sunday morning to play the home side in their latest league game, and it was the Nire who ran out winners on a scoreline of 3-12 to 4-04. A good effort from the lads throughout the game. Next up for the team is a home game against Dungarvan on the 29th March at 7pm.

UNDER 14 FOOTBALL:
Our Under 14 Footballers are back in action this coming Saturday March 25th with a home game against Clann Na Gael at 3pm.

UNDER 5/6 HURLING:
Training for the Under 5/6 hurlers takes place every Saturday morning in the club’s hurling alley at 10am. Hurleys and helmets are supplied, and all boys and girls are most welcome to come along, and learn the skills of our national game.
