Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes



UNDER 7 BLITZ:
Our Under 7 squad took place in an indoor blitz last Saturday morning. The team played three games against Roanmore, De La Salle and Mount Sion. The lads performed very well in all the games, scoring plenty of goals and defending well with all their mite. TEAM: Scott, Gavin, Harry, Aidan, Emily, Finn, Max, Adam, Morgan, Luke, Conor Zach, Michkoli.

ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K:
The third annual Angela Burns Memorial 10K Fun Run/Walk, kindly sponsored by Harvey Travel Gladstone St., will take place on Sunday April 23rd at 11am from the Ferrybank GAA grounds.
Entry fee is €15 for runners (chipped) and €10 for the walkers. This event is open to everyone from runners, joggers, leisurely walkers, pram-pushers etc.

ADULT MEMBERSHIP:
With the playing season shortly upon us, membership for the coming year is Adults €70, Students/Unwaged €30. We would ask all players to pay their membership ASAP.

UNDER 14 FOOTBALL:
Our Under 14 footballers travelled to play St. Mary’s in their open game in this year’s championship, and the lads ran out convincing winners on the day. Next up is a home game v St. Saviour’s next Saturday March 12th at 3pm and your support will be welcomed.

UNDER 5/6 HURLING & CAMOGIE:
Training for U5 and U6 hurling and camogie takes place every Saturday morning at 10am in the club's hurling alley. Hurleys and helmets are supplied. All boy and girls are most welcome to come along and learn the skills of our national game.

DÉISE DRAW:
The 2017 Déise Draw is scheduled to take place this coming May. It’s a new formula this year, with 6 draws taking place, 1 draw per month.
Tickets will cost €15 per month, with the prize money increasing, with 1st prize now €12,500 from €10,000, 2nd prize has also increased to €3,000, with 3rd/4th prize now €1,000, all the way down to 20th place.
The club will get 70% from the draw, so we would encourage all members of the club to support this fantastic draw.
