Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes



ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K FUN RUN/WALK:
We are just under two weeks away for the annual Angela Burns memorial 10K Fun Run/Walk and registration takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night from 7pm-8:30pm and Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm in the GAA grounds. You can also download the registration form from http://www.ferrybank.ie/notices/2016_10K_AngelaBurns_AppForm.pdf.
It costs €10 for Adults & €2 for Under 12's. This event is open to everyone from Runners, Walkers, Joggers, Pram Pushers, and we would encourage everyone within the community to come out and enjoy this great event.
The race begins at 11am from the GAA grounds, and please note that car parking on the day will be in the Ferrybank shopping centre via the Bellfield estate. If anyone would like to contribute any Buns, Cakes, Sandwiches, Biscuits etc. for the event, it would be greatly appreciated, and you can drop them into the Ferrybank GAA grounds from 2pm onwards on Saturday April 23rd. JUNIOR FOOTBALL:
The opening game for the Footballers against Ballyduff Lower, scheduled to take place last Friday night, was postponed and will be replayed at a later date.

INTERMEDIATE HURLING:
Our Intermediate Hurlers had a very useful run out against Roanmore last Saturday, as they build up their championship campaign which starts next month.

NURSERY GROUP:
The training for Boys & Girls aged 5 & 6 continues every Saturday morning from 10am-11am, why not come along and experience Gaelic Games for the young.

UNDER 16 FOOTBALL:
No Joy for the Under 16 Footballers last Saturday afternoon as they were defeated by a good St Saviours side on a scoreline of 5-08 to 3-04.

CONDOLENCES:
Ferrybank GAA club would like to extend their sympathies to the families of the late Maureen Burtchaell and Tom Power, both of whom passed away during the week. Ar dheis de go raibh a h-anam.

FERRYBANK GAA DÉISE DRAW:
Tickets are still available for the Ferrybank GAA Déise Draw with the next draw on Friday 29th April. With 29 cash prizes on offer, 1st Prize €10,000, 2nd Prize €2,000, 3rd prize €1,000; all the way down to €100. Tickets cost €10 per month with another eight draws remaining this year.
