Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes



ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K:
The annual Angela Burns Memorial 10k Fun Run/Walk takes place on Sunday April 24th at 11am starting in the Ferrybank GAA grounds. Registration takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night from 7pm-8:30pm, commencing from 5th April and every Saturday morning from 10am-12pm. Entry fee is €10 per Adult, and €2 for the Under 12's. We would encourage everyone from Runners, Joggers, Walkers, Pram Pushers to come along and enjoy this great day out.

FERRYBANK GAA DÉISE DRAW:
The opening draw took place in Stradbally last Friday night, and we had two winners. Congratulations to Anne Henley who scooped the first prize of €10,000, and to Sean Burtchaell who won €500 on the night.
Many thanks to all who have purchased tickets for the draw, and remember it’s not too late to get involved, with another eight draws remaining, and 29 cash prizes available. Tickets cost €10 per month, and Ferrybank GAA club will be hoping for continued support from our membership, and if you would like to purchase a ticket, please contact Tony Power 086 416 9215, Pat O' Meara 087 210 8890, Nicky Heffernan 087 672 4212.

UNDER 7/8 CAMOIGE:
The Under 7/8 Camoige team made the trip to Glenmore last Wednesday night, where 15 girls togged out, and put in a superb effort. This was the first game for many of the players, and thanks to all the parents who came along and supported the team on the night. TEAM: Ava, Abbie, Aoife, Ciara, Meabh, Lucy, Michaela, Tanya F, Saoirse, Shayla, Cliodhna, Fiona, Isobel, Dominika, Tara O' Shea.

MEMBERSHIP:
2016 club membership is now due. Adult membership is €70, or €120 if you want to include a Déise Draw subscription. Student/Unwaged €30. Juvenile membership is €20, with €10 for any additional sibling.

SPEEDY RECOVERY:
Everyone at Ferrybank GAA club would like to wish Roisin Oates at speedy recovery following her recent operation, and hopefully it won’t be too long before she is back in the green and white jersey.

CLOTHING COLLECTION:
It’s that time of the year again, where I’m sure your house could do with a spring clean. So if you have any unwanted clothes, paired shoes, belts, handbags, curtains, towels, soft toys etc., or any old mobile phones or laptops (please keep mobile phones and laptops separate from clothing items), you can drop them down to the GAA grounds on Saturday mornings from 10am to 2pm. The closing date will be Saturday April 2nd.
 
OLD BOOTS/ HURLEYS/HELMETS:
If you have any old hurleys, football boots, helmets, ABP Ferrybank Tops, Ferrybank Half zips that are too small or you do not need any more, you can donate them to Ferrybank GAA club, and we can redistribute these items to members for free. You can hand in to any personnel at the club, or alternatively call Andy Carter 087 135 2455.
