Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY
On December 6th, Ferrybank GAA and Camogie Club held their annual Christmas Party. This was another fantastic success, brilliantly organised by Siobhan Heffernan, Zoe Delahunty and all their elves. With over 80 children at the party and a big crowd of adults the atmosphere was fantastic. The organisers improved the party this year with the introduction of a bouncy castle; as you can imagine this was a huge hit. Then we finished off with a raffle with many prizes, a great day for all. Thanks ladies again.
Furthermore Ferrybank GAA and Camogie club would like to sincerely thank all of the local businesses whom sponsored a prize for the raffle. Their kind donations show the great community spirit within Ferrybank;

CLUB ASSIST:
Waterford Coaching & Games Development Committee representative John Quinn presented Ferrybank GAA Club with the Club Assist level 2. Club assist Phort Láirge is a programme put in place by Waterford Coaching & Games development Committee to assist all Clubs in the county to develop their full potential. Within the programme, there are various targets, which will focus in the work of clubs during the year. The Level 2 requirement includes such things as our club has to have an active Children’s officer club, to play in 3 super touch blitz, and to have a nursery programme plan in place up to Under 10's, as well as many other criteria's. We achieved Level 1 last year, and we are hoping to complete Level 3 next year. The targets get higher each year, and we will need every help we can get to achieve our goal.
