Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes

INTERMEDIATE HURLERS:
Our Intermediate Hurlers will play Clonea in the quarter-finals of the Gerry Kennedy Crash Repairs sponsored competition in Kill on Saturday 29th August at 2:30pm.

UNDER 14 HURLING:
Our Under 14 hurlers bounced back from their defeat to Sacred Heart last week with a thrilling one point win over a good Cappoquin side last Monday on a scoreline 4-08 to 5-04.

UNDER 13 HURLING:
The Under 13 hurlers had a good win over St. Saviours last Thursday night in Ferrybank winning on a scoreline of 7-05 to 1-02.

COUNTY DUTY:
Congratulations to Grainne Heffernan and the Waterford Under 16B Camogie team that defeated Meath in the All Ireland semi-final in Athy on Sunday last.

MINOR CAMOGIE:
The Minor Camogie travelled to Dunhill last Tuesday night to play St. Anne's in their latest game, and following a good first-half, the girls only found themselves three points down at the break.
However, some soft goals at the start of the second-half left them with a mountain to climb, but credit to them as they kept battling to the end, defeated on a scoreline of 7-06 to 3-05. Next up for the Minors is a trip to Dungarvan on August 25th at 7pm.

JUNIOR CAMOGIE:
The Junior Camogie side entertained Portlaw in Ferrybank in the Premium Butchers sponsored competition. This was a very competitive game, with Portlaw giving it their best shot on the night, but Ferrybank were able to pick of the scores at crucial stages, and with Iona Heffernan excelling at centre back, the girls ran out 2-07 to 1-01 winners. This win ensured a place in the knockout stages for the girls. Next up for the Juniors is a game on September 5th against Clonea.

Recycle Old Clothes & Mobile Phones:
Due to the success of our last clothes collection, Ferrybank GAA is embarking on another one. If you have any unwanted textiles and mobile phones, recycle them and support Ferrybank GAA at the same time.
