Ferrybank U10
hurlers played in a blitz on Saturday 18th July in Carriganore.
Considering we had only three U10 players and the remainder were U9s, the lads
did extremely well.
Ferrybank, with the wind at our backs, soared ahead in the first match against St. Patrick’s. The second-half saw St. Patrick’s come back into it but the damage was done.
The second match against Na Gael, played out in a similar vein, and Ferrybank emerged victors again.
The final match against our city rivals, Mount Sion, proved a much tougher affair; the lads, tired from the previous games, visibly slowed down and allowed the bigger and stronger opponents to take the lead.
Some fine hurling on display and well done to all the lads.
