Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes

PEADER’S SUMMER CAMP:
Don’t forget this coming Friday night, July 17th in Flynns Bar, the annual fundraising night takes place for the Peader’s Summer Camp, with music from Pat Cooney and friends. Admission is a generous €2 with plenty of spot prizes on offer, and we would encourage everyone to pop along and support this worthy cause. It all kicks off at 9pm.

INTERMEDIATE HURLING:
Our Intermediate hurlers play Erins Own in their final group game in the Gerry Kennedy Crash Repairs sponsored competition this coming Friday night, July 17th in Mount Sion at 7:45pm. No doubt, a stiff test lies ahead for the team, and hopefully they can turn in a good performance.

MINOR HURLING:
The Minor hurlers play their second game in this year’s championship with a trip to Ballybeg to play St. Saviours on Tuesday July 14th at 7:30pm. The lads will be keen to make amends from their opening defeat, and your support on the night will be appreciated.

JUNIOR CAMOGIE:
The Junior Camogie girls got their campaign of to a winning start with a good win over Tallow, winning on a scoreline of 5-05 to 1-04.

COUNTY DUTY:
Best of luck to Mark O' Brien and the Waterford Under 21 hurlers who play Clare in Ennis this coming Wednesday night, July 15th in the semi-final of the Under 21 hurling Championship.

JUNIOR HURLING:
Ferrybank’s Junior hurlers were defeated by Portlaw in their latest game last Friday night on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-12. Goals win matches and that was the case in the game as Portlaw struck twice in the opening half to lead by 2-07 to 0-07 at the break.
Any chance of a comeback by Ferrybank in the second-half was quickly dashed as a third Portlaw goal put daylight between the sides, and tried as they did, Ferrybank didnt get chances to get back into the game. Next up for the Juniors is a trip to play Dunhill next Thursday, July 16th at 7:30pm.
