UNDER 11 HURLING:

Friday night was another successful night for the Ferrybank Under 11 hurlers in their second game of the city league against De La Salle in Gracedieu. From the throw-in, Ferrybank dominated and scored four quick goals, and as many points. DLS started to come back into the match, but the wealth of our defence of Caolan, Odhran, Izaak, Daniel W, Sean Heff, and Sean Fagan held them at bay. The two Shanes controlled the midfield, while the half forwards Ruaidhri, & Jake riddled the home side’s defence. DLS emerged stronger in the second-half, and clawed back 1-01, but Daniel Griff, & Alex Byrne enjoyed great goal scoring, while Joe & Mati continued to hammer the DLS goal. Well done Ferrybank.

TEAM: Joe Carter, Sean Heffernan, Izaak Richards, Shane Egan, Shane Purcell, Mati Tomczuk, Daniel Griffin, Sean Fagan, Daniel Walsh, Jake Butler, Caolan MacCathmhaoil, Alex Byrne, Odhran Power, Ruaidhri McGarrity..

UNDER 8 HURLING:

Our Under 8 hurlers played in a hurling blitz in Carriganore last Saturday. We were short a few number on the day, so a number of the Under 7s turned out for us. All of the games were played with great determination, and some excellent hurling skills were on hand for all to see. Thanks to Ballyduff for loaning us two players for the first half of the game, and the second half it was five against seven, with the lads digging deep, covering every blade of grass and in the end were victorious. The lads defeated St. Pats, Roanmore, Ballyduff, St. Mollerans, while they drew with Clonea.

TEAM: Daniel Donnelly, Malachy Carter, Conor Haley, Fionn McGarrity, Luke Sutton, Jack Hoban, John Karankov Ider, Ryan Hughes, Rory Simpson, Ava O' Brien,

FERRYBANK GAA DÉISE DRAW:

The second Déise draw of 2015 will take place this coming Friday night in Kilrossanty. Best of luck to all who have purchased tickets for the draw, and remember it’s not too late to get involved with some fantastic cash prizes, with €10,000 for first prize all the way down to €250. JUNIOR FOOTBALL:

Our Junior Footballers made it four wins on the trot with a comfortable win over Kilmacthomas in the John J Murphy sponsored competition with 4-13 to 0-04 victory. The lads were in control from the start, and ran out easy winners. Next up is a home match against Bonmahon this coming Friday night April 24th at 7pm.

COUNTY HURLERS: Well done to the Waterford Senior hurlers on their brilliant victory over Tipperary in the national hurling league semi-final, and best of luck in the final.
