UNDER 11 FOOTBALL: We had two games in a busy week for the lads. First up was against a young Butlerstown side, in which Ferrybank started brightly, and took an early lead, and never looked back from their, and they proved to be a little stronger than Butlerstown through out the match, but credit to this young Butlerstown team who never gave up and battled to the end. Next up was a home game against Ballyduff Lower, on what was a lovely evening for the game, this turned out to be a right humdinger from the off. The game started evenly enough, with both sides playing some good free flowing football, in which both goalkeepers were called into action making some fine saves. Ferrybank hit the front with a point, which was then followed by a goal, but just before half time, Ballyduff replied with a goal to reduce the deficit to a point at the break. Ballyduff started the second half with the upper hand a scored another goal. To Ferrybanks credit, they fought their way back into the game, with a well taken goal, which put them back into the lead, a lead they never relinquished, and a third goal arrived, when a shot came back of the crossbar, was deflected back into the net to seal the win. Credit to both teams for providing the crowd with a fine game of Football. Thnaks to all who came along and supported the team on the night.
