GAA NOTES

UNDER 12 HURLING: Ferrybanks Under 12 hurlers travelled to Butlerstown last Wednesday night in round 1 of the Autumn League. The homeside started the stronger with some well taken scores, and moved three points clear, before Ferrybank got on the scoreboard with a '65. Butlerstown replied with a point, and right on the half time whistle, Ferrybank got a goal of their own to level it up. Ferrybank started the second half with the upper hand, and took the lead with some well taken goals, and aided with some excellent defending held on for the win.

UNDER 12 FOOTBALL: The Under 12 Footballers made the trip to Carrickbeg last Friday night to play St Mollerans in the city league. The game started slowly, with scores hard to come by from both sides. Ferrybank made the break through with 1-03 in a six minute spell, with some excellent teamwork. St Mollerans hit back with two unanswered points to leave the game in the balance at half time. St Mollerans piled on the pressure early in the second half, and the lads were under the cosh for long periods, but weathered the storm, and hit St Mollerans on the counter attack with some fine scores. A couple of points were tapped over to seal the win on the night. Thanks to all the Parents who came to support the team on the night.
