The Minor Hurling Championship match between Ferrybank and Cappoquin will now take place on Thursday August 21st at 7:15pm in Ferrybank.
UNDER 11 FOOTBALL: Ferrybanks Under 11 Footballers travelled to Kilmacthomas tonight to play John Mitchells in round two of the city league. Both teams started very well, playing some good football, and Ferrybank hit the front early on with a well taken goal, but John Mitchells replied straight away with a well taken goal. Ferrybank hit a purple patch in the opening half hitting a flurry of goals and points without reply, which gave them a 5-3 to 2-0 lead at the break. John Mitchells made a great start to the second half hitting 3-3, but the lads weatherd the storm and put over three points to extend the lead. John Mitchells piled on the pressure in the closing minutes, but the defence and Hubert Forigel in the goal held firm and recorded an excellent win. Well done to everyone, and thanks to all the parents who came along and supported the lads.
