JUNIOR CAMOGIE:
The Junior Camogie side travelled to Lismore last Thursday night and recorded a good win on a scoreline of 5-08 to 1-03. This result ensures the team have now qualified for the County final which is scheduled to take place at the end of the month. Well done girls.

Under 13 Larry Quinn Skills Competition
Pictured (please see attached files) are joint winners in the Under 13 Larry Quinn Skills Competition held recently. The joint winners were Nathan Carton and Luke Butler who, along with third placed Keith Martin, represented the club in the Eastern Final Skills Competition in Walsh Park. Nathan and Luke received a hurley of their choice for their efforts; the attached pictured shows them receiving a Peter Flanagan Special Big Bas hurley. Well Done Lads.

MINOR HURLING:
Ferrybank’s Minor Hurlers suffered their second defeat in this year’s Minor Championship when they were defeated by a strong Abbeyside team in Ferrybank last Tuesday night. Abbeyside made the better start, scoring an early goal and put Ferrybank under pressure. To their credit, Ferrybank clawed their way back into the game, with good points from David Atkins, Robbie Carew and John Ahern that left them only five points behind at the break. Abbeyside, again started the second-half on top, and took their scores, but Ferrybank with a young side kept battling all the way and in the closing minutes Abbeyside got a second goal to run out good winners on the night. Next up for the Minors is an August 12th home fixture against Sacred Heart at 7:30pm.

COUNTY DUTY:
Best of luck to the Waterford Minor Hurling team, and to our own MJ Sutton, who play Kilkenny in the All Ireland semi-final in Croke Park next Sunday.

INTERMEDIATE HURLING:
The Intermediate Hurlers played Kilmacow and Moyle Rovers in Challenge games during the week, and both games were very useful workouts for the team. The lads played well in the games, and putting over some good scores, and no doubt the selectors will have been pleased with their effort. The next Championship game is scheduled to take place on Saturday August 23rd in Walsh Park at 3pm against St Saviours.
