GAA NOTES

UNDER 14 HURLING: The Under 14 Hurlers turned in a superb performance against Sacred Heart last Monday night winning on a scoreline of 6-4 to 1-1. The work rate on the night was fantastic, and the distribution of the ball was excellent. Cody Griffin was in sparkling form netting 3 goals, with two from Nathan Carter and one from Eimhin Burns. But overall, everyone on the team played their part in this win, and no doubt the selectors will have been pleased with this performance. Keep up the good work lads.

JUNIOR CAMOIGE: Ferrybank Junior Camoige side travelled to Cleaboy last Friday night to play Roanmore in their opening game in this years Championship running out 4-12 to 0-1 winners. The scoreline wasnt a true reflection of the game, as Roanmore had their chances during the game. Ferrybank opened a 2-8 to 0-0 in the first half with goals from Claire Smith Baldwin and Helen McEvoy and points from Orla O' Neill, Niamh Ahearne, Lydia Grant. In the second half, Ferrybank added goals from Debbie Boden and Brid Roche to run out good winners on the night. Next up for the Juniors is a home match against Tallow on Saturday night July 26th at 7pm, where your support will be welcomed on the night. DEISE DRAW: The July Deise will take place this coming Friday night in Clashmore Gaa grounds this Friday July 25th. Many thanks who have purchased tickets for the draw, and lets hope we can have a couple of winners on the night. Congratulations to John Kinsella of Belmount Heights who was the Club winner for June.

COUNTY DUTY: Best of luck to the Waterford Minor Hurlers and to our own MJ Sutton who take on Limerick in the Munster Minor final replay this coming Tuesday night in Thurles. Lets hope the lads can do the business this time round.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL: The Junior Footballers received a walkover from St Pauls last Friday night. Ferrybank have one game remaining, and it will take place this coming Friday night July 25th at 7pm in Ferrybank against Ballyduff Lower, where a win will secure a semi final place.

MINOR HURLING: The next game of the Minor Hurling Championship is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 29th July home to Abbeyside at 7:30pm.

UNDER 16 CAMOIGE: The Under 16 Camoige team play at home to An Rinn on Tuesday July 22nd at 7:30pm. Please come along and support the Girls.

PEADERS SUMMER CAMP: The 23rd running of the Peaders Summer Camp will commence tomorrow at 10am running until Friday. Many thanks to all the Sponsors, and to all the Volunteers in helping out for the week. During the week, some special Guest Stars will pop along to the field, and give some tips to the future stars of the game. Lets hope the weather stays fine for the camp.
