UNDER 6,7,8 HURLING: Our Under age hurlers travelled to Tramore yesterday to play the homeside in three challenge games, and what a day it turned out to be for the Village Boys, where they dominated all three games. With the sun splitting the rocks, the Under 6 team soared ahead and never looked back. Kyle, Fionn, Conor enjoyed great scores, while our midfield of Jacob, Ryam, Adam, and new players Paddy and Adam proved invaluable. The Carter and Karankov brothers were rock solid in defence. The under 7 match was a one sided affair, where the lads stormed ahead, and once again the teamwork was exemplary. Alex and Caolan were causing havoc in the forward line, with the supply coming from the two Shanes in midfield. Izaak and Ameila kept the Tramore forwards at bay, while Jessie guarded the goal. The Under 8 was a much closer battle, and the balance of power shifted between the two teams throughout the match, but Ferrybank came through to win in the end. The huge crowd and support was superb, and the teams thrived on it. Thanks to Tramore for hosting the games, and for the manner in which they were played, and to the kids for a great days entertainment. The Xmas Party is on Sunday December 9th. GREYHOUND NIGHT: With Just a week to go for the annual night at the dogs on Saturday Nov 24th at 8pm, Tickets are still available from Declan Howard (087-9393818), Conor Ahearne (086-2968463) at €10 each, which includes admission. We would encourage all Players, Supporters, Parents, Members, Families, Friends to support this night out, by buying a ticket for the night, where kids under 16 are admitted free of charge. There will be a free bus service to and from the track on the night, leaving from opposite Spar Shop. There will be various prizes on the night to be won, with the main gate prize been a weekend for Two in four star Castleross Hotel Killarney, including two nights B/B and one evening dinner.
