GAA NOTES

DEISE DRAW: We had no winners in the August Deise draw which took place in Clonea last Friday night. A huge thanks to all who purchased tickets for the draw. The September draw takes place on Friday 28th Sept at the Shamrocks Gaa grounds.

CAMOIGE: The under 16 Camoige side are back in action this Tuesday night Sept 4th with a home tie against Tramore at 7pm. With two wins from two, the girls will want to keep the momentum going, so please come along and give them your support.

MINOR HURLING: The Minor hurlers play their final game on Wednesday Sept 5th with a home match against An Gaeltacht at 6:15pm. The team will need to win in order to be gauranteed a semi final place. Injuries to key players hasnt help the teams performances over the last three games, so lets hope the lads can get back to winning ways this Wednesday night.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL:Our Junior Footballers play Eirns Own this Friday night Sept 7th at 6:15pm in Cleaboy. This is a play off game with the winners advancing to the quarter finals with a match against Butlerstown. So come along and support the team.

UNDER 16 HURLING: Our Under 16 hurlers play Clashmore in their third game of this years Championship. The game is scheduled to take place on Friday 7th Sept in Ferrybank, but it may be switched to Saturday. As soon as a time & date is confirmed, it will be posted up.

UNDER 6 & 8 HURLING: Our Under 6 & 8 Hurlers played Glenmore in Ferrybank yesterday. What a day both teams had, where they dominated against our neighbours Glenmore. The lads played with aa steely determination, and controlled all aspects of the game. The teamwork and passing is improving with every game, and the lads are proving themselves as a serious outfit. The supporters were amazing as usual, and it was great to see a huge following for the teams. Thanks to Glenmore in the manner, in which they played the game, and to the referees. Our Under 6 side are in the Ballygunner blitz next Saturday Sept 8th. All players are requested to meet at the pitch at 10:15am SHARP. SPEEDY RECOVERY: We wish Conor Hogan our Intermediate Hurler a swift and speedy recovery from his recent operation, and hopefully it wont be to long before he is back playing again.
