MINOR HURLING: Our Minor Hurlers were well beaten by a bigger and stronger Brickys Rangers side in the Minor Hurling Championship in Ferrybank last night. Coming into this game Bricky Rangers were the favourites to win the Divsion 3 title, and the league leaders cemented this position. To be fair to Ferrybank they were missing a couple of players who were badly missed as this young side battled hard to the end, but a much stronger Brickys claimed the win. Trailling 3-6 to 0-4 at the half time, Ferrybank missed a couple of good scoring chanced in the second half. Despite goals from John Ahern, and MJ Sutton, Brickys Rangers put over points and put a lot of pressure of the Ferrybank defence, and in the end ran out 7-18 to 2-7 winners. Despite this defeat, Ferrybank are still in contention for the semi finals, with three wins from their five games, and with the majority of this side still under 16, the lads will have learned a lot.
