GAA NOTES

UNDER 6 & 8 HURLING: Our under 6 & 8 Hurlers played St Marys from Kill on Saturday and in both games controlled the matches. Our recent spate of excellent results has had a tremendous effect on the lads, and this is illustrated in their performances. The teamwork, passing, finishing was second to none. Well done lads, and keep up the hurling homework. As always thanks to the Parents, Grandparents, Relatives, friends, for the vital support. Thanks to St Marys for making the trip to Ferrybank, and to the teams for a great days entertainment.

JUNIOR HURLING: Our Junior Hurling match against Butlerstown scheduled to take place last Saturday evening was Postponed when no referee turned up, despite both teams togged off and ready to go. A new date will be set for this game.

MINOR HURLING: Our Minor Hurlers recorded their third win in this years championship with a comprehensive win over an understrength Ardmore side in Ferrybank last Thursday night on a scoreline of 9-16 to 2-9. The foundations for this win was laid from the start with Ferrybank getting early goals, and never looked back from their. No doubt stiffer tests lies ahead for the team, but with three wins from three, the team have put themselves into an excellent position to make it through to the knockout stages. Next game scheduled for the team is a trip to Cois Bhride (Tallow) on Tuesday August 7th at 7:30pm.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL: Our Junior Football match against Roanmore scheduled for Saturday 4th Aug is Off, as it has been conceeded bu Roanmore. The team has still an outside chance of making the play offs if other results can go their way.

DEISE DRAW: We had no luck in the July Deise Draw which took place last Friday night, Thanks to all who purchased tickets for the draw.

UNDER 15 HURLING: Our Under 15 hurlers conceeded their latest game to Clonea last Saturday due to a shortage of players.
