GAA NOTES

JUNIOR HURLING: Our Junior Hurlers were well defeated by Clonea last Monday night in their latest Championship game on a scoreline of 5-14 to 1-4. This defeat has left Ferrybank a mountain to climb in order to reach the knockout stages, with just two games to go against Butlerstown and St Mollerans victory is essential in both games.

INTERMEDIATE HURLING: Our Intermediate Hurlers defeated St Saviours by -19pts to -12pts in their final Hurling league game in Ballybeg last Thursday night. This was a solid performance from the team, espically in the first half, shooting 15 points, as the team built up a healthy lead. St Saviours came more into the second half, but despite ringing the changes, Ferrybank always held the upper hand. This is a good confidence booster for the team, and no doubt the Selectors will be pleased with the performance, espically with their final championship game next Saturday against Portlaw coming up.

MINOR HURLING: Our Minor Hurlers play St Olivers in their second match in the Minor Hurling Championship on Monday 16th July against St Olivers in Ballinameela at 7:30pm. With an excellent opening win, the lads will be keen to maintain their unbeaten run, so please come along and support the lads.

INTERMEDIATE HURLING: Our Intermediate Hurlers play Portlaw next Saturday July 21st at 3:30pm. The venue has yet to be confirmed, so as soon as the venue is confirmed, it will be posted up.
