GAA NOTES

UNDER 8 HURLING: Our Under 8 hurlers played Ballygunner in a number of games last night in Ferrybank. It was another fantastic evening of hurling, with over twenty players turning out for Ferrybank. The panel was divided into 2 teams and they played a total of six games. Ferrybanks  first team soared ahead in the opening game, and contuined this success in their second game. Ferrybank 2nd team were narrowly defeated in their opening game, but they controlled the second game. Finally the two  teams played a challenge game against each other, and they played out a draw. Ballygunner proved worthy oponents, and displayed great sportsmanship. The mass support was fantastic, ad this spurned the team on. Thanks to all who came along. Next under 8 game is in De La Salle (Gracedieu) on Monday 25th June at 6:30pm. All players are requested to meet at 5:45pm in Ferrybank or 6:15pm in De La Salle grounds. Under 6 games are in Ferrybank on Saturday 23rd June at 11am, all players meet in pitch at 10:45am.
