INTERMEDIATE HURLING: Our Intermediate Hurlers travelled to Clonea this Morning to play the home side in the Intermediate Hurling League, and it was Clonea who ran out worthy winners on a scoreline of 3-14 to -9pts. Short a number of players through injuries, holidays, etc, Ferrybank found themselves only 3 points down at half time by -9pts to -6pts. Played in a total downpour, the slippery surface didnt help the hurling to flow, despite the best efforts of both sides. In the second half, Clonea scored three soft goals, and began to pull away from Ferrybank, despite the team missing a few good goal chances, that would have made the game at lost closer. Ferrybank tried hard, but it was Clonea's day, and the goals were crucial in the second half. TEAM: Sean Flynn, Pat O' Neill, Seamus Burchill, Greg Kinsella, Damien Ahern, John Byrne, Damien Heffernan, Luke Flynn, Phil Blake, Sam Lawless, Eoin O' Neill, Damien Walsh, Martin Freeman, Cormac Heffernan, Tommy Carew.
JUNIOR HURLING: Our Junior Hurlers play Carrigeen in a challenge team on Tuesday 5th June in Ferrybank at 7:00pm in preperation for their Championship match against Portlaw on Friday 8th June in Portlaw at 7:30pm.
