GAA NOTES

INTERMEDIATE HURLING: Our Intermediate hurlers played Bricky Rangers in a challenge game. This was the lads first runout of the year, and the selectors will be encouraged with the effort they put in during the hour. Ferrybank ran out 1-11 to 1-8 winners on the day, against a side who made Ferrybank work hard for their scores. BAG PACK: Thanks to all who helped out on the day with the bag pack in Tesco Ardkeen on Saturday. Thanks to the public who generously donated to the club, and to the staff at Tesco, who were kind enough to give us the Bag pack day. It was very much appreciated.

FIELD MAINTAINENCE DAY: Dont forget on Saturday March 24th at 11am, there is a field Maintainence day involving hedge trimming, Grass and Weed cutting etc. If you have a spare couple of hours on the day and get involved, please come along and we would be delighted to see you. As they say many hands make light work.

DEISE DRAW: With just over a fortnight to go before the 1st Deise Draw, Ferrybank Gaa club would ask all people to support your local Ferrybank Gaa club by purchasing a 2012 Deise ticket for just £10 euro's per month for nine months. This is the most important fundraising event in the Gaa clubs calendar, and the revenue from this goes a long way towards the huge expense of running a club. The 1st draw takes place on Friday 30th March of a new Toyota Aygo or 10000 euro for the 1st draw. 1st prize for the remainder of the draw is 10,000 euro, 2nd/3rd prize is 1,000 euro, 4th/7th £500 euro, 8th/13th prize is £250 euro. There will also be a special bonus draws in May/Aug/Nov for a £1000 holiday voucher and £500 spending money. Tickets are now on sale from Nicky Heffernan 087-6724212.
