GAA NOTES

FERRYBANK B.N.S. MINI 7's:
Ferrybank Boys school competed in the mini 7's and did extremely well this year. In the first round of the competition, we defeated Mt Sion on a scoreline of 3-0 to-1 with scores from Adam English 2-0 and Mark Sutton 1-0,. Our 2nd game resulted in another win over St Stephens Street B.N.S. on a scoreline of 3-2 to 1-6 with scores from Adam English 1-1, Neil O' Sullivan 1-1, Jack Quinn 1-0. We maintained oue winning run by making it three wins out of three with a 1-1 to 1-0, victory over St Pauls, with Jack Quinn 1-0, and Adam English -1 getting the scores. Our final game in the group stages was against Portlaw and it ended all square on a scoreline 1-0 to -3, with Adam English(-2), Neil O' Sullivan(-1), with the scores. It was on to the Eastern Finals which was held in Gracedieu(D.L.S) last Tuesday.Led by captain Callum Russell, Ferrybank were defeated in their opening game by Holycross Tramore on a scoreline 2-4 to 1-1, with scores from Conor Quinn 1-0, Neil O' Sullivan -1. Our 2nd game against Scoil Lorcain resulted in heart break for the lads, as a last minute goal gave them victory on a scoreline of 2-1 to 1-2, with Adam English 1-0, Neil -1, and Conor Quinn -1 scoring. in our final game against Rathgormack, the lads had a resounding win on a scoreline of 3-3 to -4pts with Adam English 2-0, Oseiwe Ogunil 1-1, Neil O' Sullivan -2 getting the scores. Scoil Lorcain went on to win the competition. Well done to all who took part.

DEISE DRAW: We had two winners in the final Deise Draw 2011 which took place in Stradbally last Friday night. Congratulations to Ruth Howard and Adrian Hoban who both won £250 euro each. Many thanks to all who have purchased tickets throughout the year on behalf of Ferrybank Gaa club.
