GAA NOTES

COUNTY DUTY: Congratulations and the very best of luck to John (Doxer) Burns who has been appointed manager of the Waterford Minor hurling team for 2012 campagin. An experienced coach, Doxer has coached and mentored Ferrybank teams from all ages during his coaching career, and his appointment has been well deserved. No doubt Doxer will give it his all with the minor hurling panel, and we wish him and his selectors Noel Kelly, Pat Kearney, Ray O' Brien the very best of luck.

DEISE DRAW: We had no luck in the October Deise draw which took place in the Parish hall Ferrybank last Friday night. Many thanks to all who have purchased tickets throughout the season. The final draw will take place in Stradbally on Friday nov 25th. Thanks to all the ladies who helped out on the night with the Tea and Sandwiches. Congratulations to Nicky Heffernan who won the co-ordinats ors prize draw.

COUNTY DRAW: The County Board Development draw in aid of the Waterford hurling players fund which was scheduled to take place last Saturday night was POSTPONED and will now take place on Saturday Nov 26th at 1:15pm on W.L.R. "On the Ball Programme". You can still purchase a ticket at £20 euro's from Nicky Heffernan on 087-6724212, with 1st prize been a Nissan Quasquai, 2nd Prize £2000 euro, 3rd-5th prize £1000 euro.

CLUB MUGS. Ferrybank Gaa club have now their own Club Mugs with the club badge proudly displayed on the mug. if you would like to purchase one, please contact Rosemary Heffernan 087-7982990. Club Mugs cost £5 euro's each.

GREYHOUND NIGHT: With only a few days to go before the annual night at the dogs, anyone who hasnt purchased a ticket, still may do so from Declan Howard 098-93939818, or Conor Ahearne 086-2968463. Tickets which includes admission cost £10 euro's each. We would urge everyone associated with the club to support this enjoyable night out, and bring along your family, neighbours, friends. Everyone who purchases a ticket will be automatically entered into a draw, which is two nights B'n'B and one evening meal in the Castleross hotel in Killarney. This great prize has been kindly sponsered by Harvey Travel. A raffle will also take place on the night with many great prizes on offer. If you would like to nominate a dog on the night(which involves your name appearing on the programme along with your chosen name of your dog), it will cost £10 euro. if your nominated dog wins, you will win £30 euro's. There will also be a free bus leaving at 7pm and 7:30pm opposite the Spar shop in Ferrybank, and it will return their after the last race.
