Last week the finals of the wall ball was held in our ally, and what a cracker they turned out to be.
Local interest turned its attention to Mark Russell, Mark o Brien and M J Sutton, all of whom played brilliantly.
However ,and unfortunately the first beaten finalist was to be M J Sutton. This young man has come on leaps and bounds this year as this competition was the finale of a great year fo M.J. who won the county final with us this year, the Tony Forrestal tournament with Waterford and now a beaten finalist in this
WELL DONE M J WHAT A YEAR FOR YOU.
Mark Russell was the beaten finalist at under 16 age group, and again what a year for Mark.
Mark represented Waterford hurling at County level under 16 and has preformed for this club in a fantastic manner all year and now a beaten finalist in this competition.
WELL DONE MARK RUSSELL.
Mark O Brien, the overall winner of the under 16 level was a deserved winner, by all accounts.
Mark started off slow, but once he got his eye in that was that.
Mark is another one of our young men who has excelled this year especially within the club.
He has played outstanding all year in both hurling and football, and is another fine example to all youngsters within our club.
WELL MARK O BRIEN, WALL BALL CHAMPION 2010
