The Coach Education season is upon us and courses will run in the coming months. There will be a number of courses held in the county from Nov 2010 until March 2011. The following are the courses that will be available to club coaches
- Award 1 Child Hurling and Football (21 contact hours).
- Those interested must have minimum of Foundation Award course completed in 2009 or previous.
- It is recommended that participants for the Award 1 Child course should have considerable coaching experience at Foundation Level in their club/school.
- Applicants must also have completed the Child Welfare Course.
- Cost is €75 per person
- Course will run over 7 nights and full attendance is compulsory for certification.
- Max numbers 25 per course.
- The course fee must be paid when registering for the course. The course will run in November
- Foundation Award courses Hurling and Football (10 contact hours)
- Cost is €350 for 1 code and €400 for dual course. Cost is divided among participants.
- Max number is 25 per course.
o Course will run over 2/3 nights and full attendance is compulsory for certification.
- Child Welfare Course (4 contact hours).
- Cost is €200 per course. Cost is divided among participants.
- Max numbers 18 per course.
- Coach Education Workshops
- These will be run by GDA’s as required by clubs.
Michelle Power will be coordinating all Coach Education matters from now onwards. All
