GAA NOTES

MINOR HURLING: Our Minor hurlers recorded there first win in this years Minor Hurling championship with an eight point win over a depleted Tramore side on a scoreline of 5-8 to 3-6, last Monday night. Despite this victory, a major improvement will be required from the team if they are going to make an impact in the championship. Sterner tests lies ahead for the team beginning with a trip to Abbeyside on Monday night August 23rd, at 7pm, where they play the home team.

FIXTURES MINOR HURLING: The outstanding fixtures in this years Minor hurling have been announced and they are as follows.
MONDAY AUGUST 23RD AWAY TO ABBEYSIDE AT 7PM.
WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 1ST AWAY TO ROANMORE (GRACEDIEU) AT 6:30PM.
SUNDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER, HOME TO PASSAGE AT 6PM.
WEDNESDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER, HOME TO NAOMH BRID AT 6:30PM.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL: Our Junior footballers will play St Pauls in the semi- final of this years Eastern Football championship in Walsh Park on Monday 6th September at 6:45pm.

CLUB DRAW: Would all those who got tickets to sell for the Ferrybank Gaa Club development fund, please return them before Sunday 29th August, as thats the night the draw takes place in Flynns bar. The draw has a fantastic 1st prize of two all Ireland hurling tickets, plus overnight accomodiation in a top hotel. Tickets can be got from all managers and committee members. Tickets cost two euro, or three for five euro. We would urge all people to support this draw.
