A great evenings work was carried out by the two teans representing Ferrybank when split up to play Tramore GAA in two matches. The games all flowed with very good play from the Ferrybank teams with good fetching and layoffs for scores well taken by different players through both matches. Ferrybank won all their matches and it was fantastic to see so many new generations of different families represented Ferrybank with Collins, Atkins, Ahearne etc with too many to mention. The ground drying up helped the play generally with better sideline cuts and scoring points from play as opposed to frees.

Special thanks to all the parents (especially the mothers and

friends ) who got the kids to the venue as some-times the early evening games can with working parents cause mayhem. We could not do this without your support. Mentors involved in this core group of up and coming talented players. The other attraction of “Jedward” on the same night meant a number of players unavailable but this only meant more responsibility for those playing wearing the Portmor GAA Crest. Coaches on the sideline for the day John Haley, Fintan Byrne, Conor Aherne.

Our new facilities/grounds are located across from Post Office & down Abbeylands Road on right every Wednesday 6.00-7.00 & Saturday 11.15-12.15 €2 for both sessions with qualified coaches. If you want to see your son get involved in team sports and meet new friends now is the time to do it.
