MINOR FOOTBALL: No date has yet been set for our Minor Football semi final replay against An Gaeltacht. However speculation has it, that it may take place next weekend. As soon as it has been confirmed the date, venue, and time will be posted up. Best of luck to Sam Lawless and Greg Murphy who will represent the Waterford Minor footballers this Wednesday night 14th April, when they play Limerick in Killmallock, no doubt if selected to start both lads will give it 100% to the team.
INTERMEDIATE HURLING: Our Intermediate Hurlers contuined there preparations for this years championship when they played a challenge against St Mollerans in Ferrybank on Sunday night. Following a good opening start to the game, with plenty of possession we failed to convert them into scores and left the Mollerans back into the game in which they scored 1-3 without reply. However points before half time from Cormac o' Meara and Cormac o' Driscoll left us trailing by 4 point at half time. In the second half quick points from Shane Flynn, and "Jo-J0" brought us back into contention and this gave the team a bit more confidence in there game. Substitutes Seamus Burchill then contributed two points and Brendan o' Meara scored a vital goal that gave us the lead which we wouldnt relinquish and in the end ran out 1-16 1-13 winners. This was a good test for the team and scoring 1-11 in the second half was impressive. There is no doubt the selectors will be pleased with this performance.
JUNIOR FOOTBALL; Our Junior Footballers will begin there defence of there Eastern crown on Friday night, 16th April in Poleberry against Eirns Own at 7pm. Please come along and support the team.
DEISE DRAW: Tickets are now on sale from any committee member for round two of this years Deise Draw which will take place on Friday 30th April in Fenor.
