The club would like to announce the recent investment of two new coaches into the boys school. These coaches are Ian Maley and Paul Martain, [pictured above.] Both are former pupils of the boys school and represented the school in every year of their schooling. Ian is now a member of the backroom staff of the intermediate hurling team, and has been putting his energies into intermediate hurling for the last couple of years, but he has been involved in the club at all levels over the years. Paul is the current captain of the intermediate hurling team, and has been playing at this level since he was 16 years if age, such is his skill level. Paul is also a successful manager as he was involved for the last 2 years at minor level where we won trophies each year. He is also a committee member for the last few years.
We wish the lads every success for the next few months and would ask everyone, club members, players, parents and supporters to support the lads in their endeavors. The club would also like to say a special thanks to the school staff and teachers, without whose support this project just would not happen.
