On Saturday last the club were represented in the All Ireland V.E.C. Collages finals in Thurles by Sam Lawless and Cormac Heffernan. The lads were representing the Abbey School while also representing Kilkenny in a final against Tipperary. In a hard fought final which, in the opening minutes Cormac Heffernan scored a great goal to put Kilkenny ahead, the lead changed hands time and time again, which left Kilkenny down by 3 points at the break, but hurling well. The second half was much the same with the lead changing hands several times but resulting in Sam lawless scoring a great point. Unfortunately Kilkenny were beaten but the two lads proved to be a credit to themselves, their parents, their school, and indeed our club. Well done lads.
