The Ferrybank Under 5/6/7 Panel had their tradional Christmas party Sunday 21th 2008 at the Ferrybank Soccer Club. This involved a vigorous game was played on the astro pitch with little quarter given.

The players played their part in a epic match against each other with some sliding tackles needing strong refereeing but after a half time break and stuffing their faces with crisps, sandwiches and other rubbish. A challenge match was played against the trainers with Santa on one wing before returning to the South Pole and other trainers John Haley,Dave Butler,John Brophy,Fintan Byrne, John Burns with Roisin Byrne taking care of the food element which was brilliant and a big thank you for all your help from the team and trainers. The trainers prevailed with a stunning last minute cross from Ronaldo “J.Haley” on the wing followed by glancing header from Rooney “F.Byrne” in the box under extreme pressure from the defence, well did you think we would let the kids win.

The Winchester guns went down a treat with selection boxes and everyone went home with a smile on their face.

Our New Outdoor Hurling Alley for training (Astro Surface)is across from Post Office & down Abbeylands Road on right every Wenesday 6.30-730 & Saturday 10-11am €2 for both sessions with qualified coaches.
