Under 16 football match report

Our under 16 footballers had a good win over Clashmore tonight in the club grounds. On a great evening for football the slip boys produced a great performance of attaching football only to be undone by defensive frailties. The boys got off to a great start and appeared to be able to score at will with Kevin Hurley turning in a man of the match display. Luke Flynn, Sam Lawless, Cormac Hefferan, Greg Murphy and Aidan Sinnott also produced top notch displays. Despite dominating the game the slip lads kept clashmore in the game by conceding easy scores and when the got a goal on the stroke of half time it left 2 points between the sides.

At half time Ferrybank regrouped and had to battle hard to increase there lead before pulling away in the final few minutes. This was a great response to the disappointment of losing last week and puts the boys into a good position to qualify for the knock out stages.
