HURLING MATCH REPORT FOR Under 5/6/7 YRS

The players split into two groups and played two games in a furious pace with good ball control and strong running all round. Every player played each game with great heart and tenacity, all the players interchanged positions in each game performing excellently with new members holding their own and showing the skills being honed in our brand new Hurling Alley. The wind had an effect with the change over each end resulting in a flurry of scores.
Unlike their last outing against Ballygunner, it was a beautiful day with players no longer standing back but showing their will to win and courage under the high ball.
Every challenge was clean and great spirit was shown especially by our smaller Boys/Girls. Playing for the first time. It was a team effort and everyone can take a clap on the back being able to express their excitement and joy of the games and fun participating. No little skill is being shown representing the club and the discipline shown is an example to all other age groups. Special thanks to all the parents(especially the mothers and friends ) who got the kids to the venue as we could not do this without your support. A special mention for the Ferrybank Boys & Girl’s School 1st/2nd/Senior & Junior infant class etc which comprises the majority of the team and the good discipline and teamwork shown is a credit to their parents and teachers Ms. Doolin and Ms. Ryan (Boys) School and the Girls School (Ms. Egan/Ms.Quinlan/Ms. Walsh/Ms.Fogarty – Ms. Ashling O’Meara GAA Trainer ,mentors involved in this core group of up and coming talented players. Coaches on the sideline for the day John Haley, Fintan Byrne.
