Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes

UNDER 5 & UNDER 6 HURLING:
Coaching for the Under 5 & Under 6s recommences this coming Saturday February 18th at 10am in the club's hurling alley. Hurleys and helmets are supplied, and all are most welcome to attend.

UNDER 7 & UNDER 8 HURLING:
Our Under 7 & Under 8 hurlers are back in action next Saturday 18th February where they compete in the Ballygunner blitz. They’ll play three matches in the Ballygunner indoor hall. Their first game will be at 11:50am against De La Salle Declan Gold, followed by a game against Sacred Heart at 12, and their last game will be against Passage at 12:10. Each game lasts for 8 minutes, so it’s vital that each game starts on time to ensure you play the full 8 minutes. Best of luck to all.

UNDER 16 FOOTBALL:
Our Under 16 Footballers travelled to Cleaboy on Sunday morning to take on De la Salle on a blustery cold morning. There was little to choose between the sides in the opening half, but a crucial De La Salle goal just before the break gave the home side a 1-02 to 0-04.
A second quick goal just after the break finished off Ferrybank, but the lads showed great heart and spirit and kept battling all the way to the end. However, De La Salle ran out worthy winners.
Next up for the lads is a home game against Clann Na Gael on Sunday 19th February at 11am.
