Pitch and Putt Results.
This turned out to be a huge event for the orginersers, but in true style Davie Lane and Charlie Aherne did themselves proud.
In what could only be decribed as damp conditions the players took to the game like ducks to water.
The following rumoured events happened,
Goosie was so bad he lost 1 ball on the 3rd hole and never recovered as flynny wouldn't stop windin him up about it.
Davie the Hawk Lane got great value for his fiver as he walked every inch of the course looking for his ball.
His son Thomas played some impossible shots[ all on the wrong holes]
Cheesy then started "winter rules" [unheard of in pitch and putt]. Borderline gamesmanship.
Jason Hennessy and Micheal Dunphy didnt even show up as we heard they were scared to play against the calibre of Garry [the Captian] Ryan.
Skin [the great white shark] Power got the one and only hole in 1.
Foxie [the practicer] Carew never stopped complaining about his dodgy knee blaming his bad performance on same.
Eventual winners were Dave Butler and Dave Walsh.
Runners up, Davie Lane and Charlie Aherne.
Special prize Skin Power[hole in 1]
People as far away as Peru, New Zeland, China and from infinity and beyond are laughing at Kilkennys bad preformance yesterday.
Never mind lads there is always next year.
Game 5 euro, meal 8 euro, beating Kilkenny, PRICELESS.
"Team event. Waterford won by a mile." Go on the Deise.
